Tom

This is my Tom story, it doesn’t have anything to do with Emmerdale, thank goodness, or water babies.

…and yes, there is something missing around bar 19

Retreat, rescue and repair

What you see below is a crochet bag

I made it when we were on our honeymoon.

La luna de miel. A strange name for the loving period following the marriage ceremony. The ceremony varies from one culture to another.

Many years have passed and whilst the marriage did not last, most of the broken bits and pieces have been mended – but, we don’t talk about it much. I think we did at the end of the last family wedding…

We don’t see each other that often, but, we are still members of the family team. That part of the marriage has survived.

I put a badge on the bag, those forty years ago, or so, and have only removed it today. On removing the badge it made a hole in it. So now I’m fixing a hole in the bag.

That is what I am going to do today.

I’m fixing the hole in the bag today

I’m making it whole again

Without having to go away to pray.
